Smart Homes Japan was founded in September 2023 with a clear vision – to simplify, enhance and improve the quality of life for homeowners through cutting-edge smart home solutions.
Technical Director & Founder, Daniel Nicklin, began his career in automotive engineering, specialising in fuel system design. His expertise in vehicle testing and data analysis enabled him to drive improvements in vehicle performance and efficiency.
After moving to Niseko, Daniel moved into property management where he quickly identified opportunities to improve the technology and infrastructure within homes. Seeing the potential to improve the way homeowners interact with their properties, he set out to create a smarter, more efficient and more comfortable living experience.
Smart Homes Japan began by serving high-end residential properties in Niseko, focusing on seamless automation, security and energy efficiency solutions. As demand for smart living continues to grow, the company is rapidly expanding to become a leading provider of smart home technology throughout Japan.
