THE STORY
Introduction
In early 2025, Smart Homes Japan was contacted by Hakuba Hospitality Group to upgrade the existing Control4 system at One Happo Chalet. After an initial assessment, the project was defined to improve system reliability, integrate new displays, and enhance overall performance while making use of existing equipment where appropriate.
The upgrade is designed to deliver a seamless smart home experience for guests, ensuring effortless control and dependable operation throughout the property.

Control4 / Smart System Integration – Seamless one-touch control for effortless operation of audio, visual and lighting systems
4K Laser Projection – High-end 4K laser projector delivering ultra-bright, true-to-life visuals with HDR enhancement and advanced image processing
Dolby Atmos Surround Sound – Truly immersive experience with 2 side, 2 rear and 4 height surround sound speakers, putting you at the centre of the action
Acoustic Room Treatment – Professionally designed acoustics for optimal sound performance

Wireless Network System
Media Upgrade
Given the size of the property, a robust and reliable wireless network was essential. To ensure seamless coverage throughout, we installed ceiling-mounted Ubiquiti UniFi access points, strategically placed for optimum wireless coverage.
All access points and wall sockets are wired back to a central PoE switch and router, providing robust internet and network connectivity.
The system is designed for easy installation, configuration and remote management, ensuring a hassle-free user experience.
