THE STORY
Introduction
A newly built luxury home in the Ginto Estate, formerly known as Pavilions, was designed with a dedicated home cinema in mind. From the outset, the owners envisioned a first-class experience to match the quality of their high-end home cinema overseas. They wanted a space to entertain family and friends and provide the perfect retreat to unwind after a day on the slopes in Niseko.

DESIGN & CONSULTATION
Equipment List
We joined the project at the final stage of the design process, working within the specified room dimensions and overcoming significant space constraints. Working closely with the architect ALT Design + Construction and general contractor Wakisaka, we integrated all the necessary home cinema equipment while maintaining a clean, seamless aesthetic. The walls were thickened to accommodate the in-wall speakers, with the front speakers discreetly placed behind an acoustically transparent projection screen at optimum ear level. The custom-made front cabinet was designed to accommodate the subwoofers on either side, while the centre section neatly conceals the audio equipment, input sources, cabling and power supplies behind a sleek door.
For lighting, downlights and ambient ceiling lighting were integrated with the Control4 system using DALI, allowing independent or grouped control via the Control4 interface, remote or a keypad near the entrance. A single press of a button activates all the cinema equipment, automatically launching Apple TV or Kaleidescape for a truly immersive and effortless home cinema experience.
NETWORKING
Seamless Wireless Coverage
Given the size of the property, a robust and reliable wireless network was essential. To ensure seamless coverage throughout, we installed ceiling-mounted Ubiquiti UniFi access points, strategically placed for optimum wireless coverage.
All access points and wall sockets are wired back to a central PoE switch and router, providing robust internet and network connectivity.
The system is designed for easy installation, configuration and remote management, ensuring a hassle-free user experience.
